STUDIO ERASMUS+GERO

BEAM BEAM BASE

For the Family Lab of the Stedelijk Museum we were fortunate to propose and create installations for kids and grownups to play, compose and paint with light. We used old fashioned overhead projectors in combination with colored acrylic shapes based on artists of the collection such as Kandinsky and Bart van der Leck. The different ‘workstations’ were implemented into furniture that were made to fit the unusual space of the lab under the main stairs. On the outside of the space we used overlapping coloured transparent foils for inviting graphics. Many visitors of any age spend long sessions in almost meditative states in our little Lab – a great success.
